Mandy Calvano built Custom Care Solutions on a simple belief: real care means protecting the whole person, not just their health. As scams targeting seniors have grown into one of the most damaging threats facing older adults nationwide, Mandy made protecting clients from financial fraud a core commitment — and invested in the people and resources to build something genuinely useful. Seth Howell, Custom Care Solutions' Cybersecurity Advisor, developed the Cyber Safe curriculum. Drawing on real scams targeting seniors in the Coachella Valley and across California, Seth translated complex security concepts into eight plain-language modules that anyone can follow — no technical background required. Each module covers a specific threat: phone and robocall scams, email and phishing attempts, Medicare and healthcare fraud, tech support scams, romance scams, and the password habits that keep personal information safe. The course is free for every Custom Care Solutions client, family member, and community member who wants to take it — no sign-up required. Families can work through it together, at their own pace, whether they're looking to protect an aging parent, learn what to watch for themselves, or simply have an informed conversation about safety with someone they love.
